065/15 Latest Information on Nairobi International Convention on the Removal of Wrecks

By the present we would like to remind you the requirement to obtain a certificate from a WRC State Party in order to comply with Nairobi International Convention on Wreck Removal,which came into force 14 April 2015.
According to last update, the following WRC states maritime authorities agreed to issue certificates to ships flagged in countries that are not party of the convention:

PMA Circular,MMC-317 Nairobi International Convention on the Removal of Wrecks

Panama Maritime Authority issued the Merchant Marine Circular MMC-317, “Nairobi International Convention on Wreck Removal, 2007″ in which states that the administration will be able to issue the wreck removal certificates valid from 18 November 2015.Applications are welcomed from 1st Sept 2015 and are strongly recommended in order to avoid inconvenience and delays. NWRC issued from other flag administration for vessels’ flying the Panama flag will remain valid until expiration date.

Application for issuance of Panama NWRC is located with MMC-191, form SEG-01-18-01.

List of insurance companies approved from PMA is located in MMC-202.
